Clinical Surgery: Giant Inguinal Hernia Lodging in Scrotum

Giant hernia – protrusion of intestinal content through inguinal canal and residing in the scrotum. Resulting in the scrotum enlarged the size of a coconut. Or perhaps twice the size.

Our teacher P.G. Lunin assisted the operation.

This is one of the many operations that we witnessed during the rotation. But this time, well I only got to know that we’re allowed to bring cameras!

We are not allowed to go near – only in our hemisperical area. Explains why the photos are a bit blur.

The photos are not in order. Sorry for that.

Warning: Gory photos ahead.

The hernial sac, isolated.

Can you see the intestines?
